About this deal

In his 1955 book Inside the Space Ships, Adamski claimed that Orthon arranged for him to be taken on a trip to see the Solar System, including the planet Venus, the location where Orthon said the late Mrs. Adamski had been reincarnated. [6] [19] He claimed that in another voyage he met the 1,000-year-old "elder philosopher of the space people", who was called "the Master". Adamski said he and the Master discussed philosophy, religion, and the "Earth's place in the universe". [31] Adamski said he learned that he had been selected by Nordic aliens to bring their message of peace to Earth people, and that other humans throughout history had also served as their messengers, including Jesus Christ. Adamski further claimed that aliens were peacefully living on Earth, and that he had met with them in bars and restaurants in Southern California. [31] George Adamski stands in front of a painting by Gay Betts depicting the Venusian space pilot he met in the Mojave Desert, California.

a beautiful golden ship in the sunset, but brighter than the sunset ... It slowly faded out, the way they do. A painting depicting an encounter with a visitor from Venus at Desert Center, California, 1952. Preposterous as his stories seemed, Adamski became an international celebrity and lectured widely. Queen Juliana of the Netherlands raised a public stir after inviting him to her palace in 1959 to discuss extraterrestrial doings. Adamski supposedly claimed a secret 1963 meeting with the pope, as well.Leslie, Desmond; Adamski, George (1953). Flying Saucers Have Landed. New York: British Book Centre. ISBN 0-854351-80-9. While we were busy imagining aliens, scientists discovered faint signals of phosphine gas in the clouds of the famously harsh, seemingly uninhabitable planet Venus—a signature that could indicate the presence of life. Even if they won’t find Orthon or his peaceful brethren, one thing is clear: We have barely begun to scratch the surface of what aliens might actually be. George Adamski (17 April 1891 – 23 April 1965) was a Polish- American author who became widely known in ufology circles, and to some degree in popular culture, after he displayed numerous photographs in the 1940s and 1950s that he said were of alien spacecraft, claimed to have met with friendly Nordic alien Space Brothers, and claimed to have taken flights with them to the Moon and other planets. In 1957 Adamski received a letter signed "R.E. Straith," alleged representative of the "Cultural Exchange Committee" of the U.S. State Department. The letter said the U.S. Government knew that Adamski had spoken to extraterrestrials in a California desert in 1952, and that a group of highly placed government officials planned on public corroboration of Adamski's story. Adamski was proud of this endorsement and exhibited it to support his claims. [34] In the same documentary Bob Oeschler, not a photography expert but a NASA physicist and Mission Specialist, had this to say about the Silver Spring footage (the ‘Rodeffer film’): I showed this picture to a meteorologist and they said it was an iridescent ice cloud. About 10% of the reports in the UFO archives can be explained by showing rare natural phenomena like this. A stand-in for Georg Adamski named Charles Kandinski appears in J. G. Ballard's 1963 short story The Venus Hunters, which describes transference of cultish beliefs. Ultimately, UFOs are something that people project onto their perception of the world. In 1957, the psychologist Carl Jung was asked for his views on UFOs. He said, ‘There is an overwhelming amount of material pointing to their legendary or mythological aspect. As a matter of fact the psychological aspect is so impressive, that one almost must regret that the UFOs seem to be real after all.’

Adamski’s 1955 sequel, Inside the Space Ships, described further meetings, not only with the Venusian but also with emissaries from Mars and Saturn. In Adamski’s telling, every planet in our solar system was populated with human-like inhabitants, as was the dark side of the earth’s moon. Science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke referred to ufologists as suffering from Adamski's disease in his novel 3001: The Final Odyssey. This photo was taken by a retired RAF serviceman while on holiday in Sri Lanka in 2004. He said he thought it was an atomic bomb going off. a b c Malcolm, Noel (6 March 2005). "Common sense abducted". The Daily Telegraph. London, UK . Retrieved 27 April 2007. In his writings, Adamski claimed he travelled to Venus, Mars, and other planets in Earth's solar system, and clearly stated that they were all capable of supporting humanoid life. [21] As UFO historian Jerome Clark noted, "some Adamski partisans insisted that Venus, Mars, Saturn, and the rest were merely code words for planets in other solar systems; there is, however, nothing in Adamski's public writings to support this interpretation and considerable testimony to the contrary." When the FBI learned of Adamski's claims, three agents were sent to talk to Adamski. He denied having stated that the FBI or USAF intelligence supported his claims (even though his remarks were reported in a local newspaper, the Riverside Enterprise), and he agreed to sign a letter stating that "he understood the implications of making false claims" and that the FBI "did not endorse [the claims] of individuals." The three FBI agents also signed the letter, and a copy was given to Adamski. [38] Clarke, Dave (2007). The Flyingsaucerers: A Social History of UFOlogy. Alternative Albion. p.40. ISBN 978-1905646005. Adamski himself hinted at the etheric physical nature of extraterrestrial life 🔗 when he wrote in 1946: “Even upon planets whose atmosphere is so rare that life seems impossible there may be intelligent forms existing — forms having the power of reason such as we possess, but the actual physical construction may be so fine as to be almost invisible to our sight, limited as it is to this particular plane of manifestation.” In a letter to Ronald Caswell Mr Sherwood later wrote: “When Mr Adamski came to Rochester in March, 1965, I took him to Eastman Kodak Co. and introduced him to scientists and photographic specialists in the optical laboratory. (…) They accepted his films as genuine. A typical comment was: ‘We wouldn’t begin to know how to fake such a film if we wanted to…’.”

HIS BOOKS

Over the last 20 years, as a journalist and an academic, I’ve read every file in these UFO archives. In my new book I have collected the best drawings and photographs. At the space people's direction, Van Tassel established the College of Universal Wisdom and solicited donations for the construction of the "Integratron," a rejuvenation machine. When completed, Van Tassel told his supporters, it would handle as many as 10,000 persons a day. People would emerge looking no younger, but their cells would be recharged. Untold tens of thousands of dollars later, the Integratron languished unfinished in February 1978 when Van Tassel died from the ravages of old age. Creme, Benjamin (2010). Wire services such as United Press International and Reuters circulated reports of the meeting to newspapers around the world. In a tower defense game, The Battle Cats, an alien themed level in Area 22 is called "Adamski Type". Fourteen experts of the J. Arthur Rank film distribution company (UK) “concluded that the object photographed was either real, or a full scale model”. ( Source: Leonard Cramp, aeronautical designer and engineer, in his book Space, Gravity, and the Flying Saucer, 1954.)Adamski informed a London newspaper about the invitation, which prompted the court and cabinet to request that the queen cancel her private audience with Adamski, but the queen went ahead with the audience, saying, "A hostess cannot slam the door in the face of her guests." [3] After the audience, Dutch Aeronautical Association president Cornelis Kolff said "The Queen showed an extraordinary interest in the whole subject." In 1972, he confessed the photo was a hoax, made by painting flying saucers on a piece of glass. Then in the 1990s, he rescinded his confession and claimed it was real after all. I’ve met him – and I believe that he believes. My most urgent message and plea to every person who reads it is: Let us be friendly. Let us recognize and welcome the men from other worlds! THEY ARE HERE AMONG US.”
